"RuPaul's Drag Race" is making herstory!

After many calls from fans over the lack of trans representation on "RuPauls Drag Race", the show finally cast the first trans man. Season 13, which will debut Jan. 1 on VH1, features Gottmik a Los Angeles-based drag queen. CNN notes that according to Gottmik's profile he is a "celebrity makeup artist ... ready to win the competition one face at a time" and "a trans man who is changing the shape of drag."

"Drag Race" has featured a few trans women, most recently Peppermint, who placed as a runner-up on Season 9.

Gottmik recently made headlines when he helped out rapper Lil Nas X get into drag as Nicki Minaj for Halloween.
