French Police Bust Orgy in Violation of COVID-19 Curfew
French police broke up an 81-person orgy last Friday for violating curfew, according to New York Post.
The sex party took place at a warehouse in Collegien, about 20 miles east of Paris, replete with alcohol, sound systems, and lighting installations, all of which were confiscated. Police arrived on scene at 9 p.m. — three hours after France's pandemic curfew — and were able to legally enter the premises two hours later, at 11 p.m.
Police raided the event "on Friday night following reports of men and women meeting for the so-called 'libertine' party," reported the Daily Mail.
"Orgies between consenting adults are legal in France, but the chance of contracting Covid-19 from an infected person during sex is almost guaranteed," adds the DM.
All 81 people were fined 135 — approximately $161 U.S. — for breaking curfew, and the three suspected organizers of the orgy were question by police.
An investigator told The Independent, "the event was in breach of the curfew, and there were also problems with masks and social distancing. Those involved in the libertine party cooperated with the police, and there was no resistance to the police."
France's COVID-19 curfew is daily from 6pm to 6am.
