Aussie Athlete & Model Jett Kenny Thirst-traps a New Look
With his flowing blond hair and ripped physique, model and social media influencer Jett Kenny could easily be mistaken for one of the Hemsworth brothers. But the athlete, model and social media influencer comes from another well-known Australian family: he is the son of ironman Grant Kenny and competitive swimmer Lisa Curry. And since childhood has followed in their footsteps, having competed in professional surf lifesaving competitions since the age of six.
The 27-year old is finding his niche on Australian television, having appeared in the past few years on "Ninja Warrior," "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Real Full Monty," a program that featured eight high-profile Aussie men stripping down in front of a live audience in a bid to raise awareness of men's health issues.
So what did his 51K-followers on Instagram think when he dropped a new look on Instagram this week?
"So, we did a thing... Now all I guess I need to do is learn how to braid and plait my own hair," he wrote.
The response was immediate:
"Holy Ragnar" wrote abbeygelmi.
"I loved you in Sons Of Anarchy," responded grantdenyer.
Danimleary: "Vikings vibes."
"Just need some head tats now #ragnarlothbrok," added ara_b_photography.
"Vikings are looking for extras," advised hey_lee_hay_you.
Some were more critical:
velvet_cyclone: "Pretty weird, don't mind it though"
rikki_leev: "Ummm no, nope, nooo"
kayjaygee78: "Next time you're on the Goldie you should see @aceofbraids ???? She'll sort you out!"
Nicki066: "Just need to shorten the beard now"
And despite cutting a thirst-trapping profile, Kenny claims he finds it difficult to get attention from women. "People seem to think I get a lot of attention from girls, but recently I've had people say to me, 'I don't talk to you because you get enough attention as it is,'" he told the website WHO.
Kenny was also rumored to have been a finalist for the 2020 season of "The Bachelor."
But this year has been a difficult one for Kenny following the death of his sister Jaimi, who passed away last October after a long illness at age 33. "'You were my second mother, you were my biggest sister, you were my friend, and you were a fighter until the very end." he wrote in a tribute to her on Instagram.
