New York City Councilman Erik Bottcher has been the target of anti-LGBTQ vandalism at his office and his apartment.

As reported by the NY Daily News, two people were arrested Monday for breaking into Bottcher's apartment building on Monday. According to investigating police, the individuals were reportedly furious over a drag story time event and wanted to point the blame at the local pol.

The group call themselves "gays against groomers" and reportedly struck first at the democrat's Chelsea office around 3 p.m., cops said.

Bottcher shared a video of the protesters fighting and accosting people outside of his apartment building and said the vandals scrawled a vulgar variation on his last name on the hallway outside the district office.

"We will not be cowed," he tweeted Monday night. "We will not be silenced. We will continue to stand up against hate."

The group reportedly later gathered outside the councilman's apartment building and chalked hateful, threatening messages on the sidewalk and blasted hateful statements from the sidewalk such as, "Erik Boccher [sic] is a pedo child groomer."

Then "two women broke into the building around 5 p.m., prompting Bottcher's superintendent to call the police," NY Daily News reports.

"This is pure hate, unmasked," Bottcher said in a tweet. "If they think this is going to intimidate us, they're mistaken. Our resolve is strengthened."
