Lady Gaga has been in hiding ever since she had to cancel her massive tour due to a hip injury in February, but rumors are popping up that the pop star may be making her comeback by appearing at the New York City 2013 Pride Kick Off Rally.

An anonymous source close to the New York City Pride organization told the Huffington Post Thursday night that Mother Monster will be speaking at the event, hosted by "RuPual's Drag Race" contestant Pandora Boxx, at Pier 26 between 7 and 10 p.m. Friday night.

Earlier this year Gaga, who has been one of the most vocal celebrities regarding LGBT rights, had to scrap her "Born This Way Ball" tour due to an injury that forced her to undergo hip surgery. Since then, the "Judas" singer has kept a low profile and talk about her fourth studio album "ARTPOP" have been put on the back burner -- though she has been photographed by the paparazzi in her 24-karat gold wheelchair she named "Emma."

As HuffPo reports, Gaga used to be very active on Twitter but only has been updated a few times since she had to cancel her tour. The most recent tweet is the singer's reaction to the Supreme Court's landmark ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8.

"We stand tall today.#DomaStruckDown So many fought for so long. Be proud, the prejudice are now the minority," she wrote.

HuffPost also writes, "Lady Gaga's representatives did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment on this story, but it seems only fitting that Gaga, who is putting the finishing touches on her upcoming 'ARTPOP' album, which is rumored to be due out later this year, would choose New York City Pride as her point of prominent re-emergence into the spotlight."

A source also emailed gay news blog Towleroad that the "Bad Romance" singer would be speaking at the event.

If Gaga shows up at NYC Pride it may be one of the most fabulous events ever as the city's pride organization announced earlier this month that Cher would be headlining the annual Dance on the Pier, performing her new single "Woman's World."
