SoCal "1Life Festival" Launch is a Hit!
The highlight of the summer scene is rapidly being replaced by the music festival. The ability to draw the like-minded looking to experience an out-of-body electronic dance music revelation in an outdoor setting, is evolving into the Circuit's biggest competitor. Even acclaimed gay circuit promoter Jeffrey Sanker, known for the annual descent onto Palm Springs for his celebrated "White Party," is getting it on the EDM festival act.
Over the July 4th Independence Day Weekend, thousands of the dance-dedicated took part in the first annual 1Life Festival! Held at the National Orange Show Fairgrounds and Event Center in Southern California, the 1Life Festival was billed as the first "massive celebration of equality and diversity" of its kind, and for 14-hours hosted some of the scenes most renowned headlining DJs.
Three separate stages drew top tier talent including Eddie Martinez, Eddie Elias, Tony Moran, DJ Paulo and Wayne G. as well as some of the industry's most popular remix producers. Chus+Ceballos, the Bent Collective and Robbie Rivera are just an additional sampling of the who's who that reigned supreme from 4 p.m. straight through to 6 a.m. beginning on Saturday, July 5th. With such a winning line-up and record breaking attendance, plans are already underway for next year.
In a press release, 1Life Festival Founder Phil Tran said: "After years of inspiration, 10 months of careful preparation and coordinating, 1Life Festival exceeded our expectations." You can expect that for 2015 the event producers are wrangling bigger names and talents, cementing the 1Life Festival experience into the circuit conscious. With Independence Day, July 4, 2015 landing on a Saturday, the fireworks will be ringing in EDM style -that's the locked date for "Season 2".
