Ace Hotel New York has teamed up with some great organizations to celebrate PRIDE 2015 with an illuminating roster of events. Through the month of June, we'll witness everything from a tea party to a documentary film premier party -- all in support of the inspired LGBTQ community.

Thursday June 4: "Out/Reach"

The Lesbian Herstory Archives will ring the festivities next Thursday June 4, with an opening reception for "Out/Reach," an exhibition of newsletters, posters, photos, and zines from the largest collection of lesbian materials in the world. Beginning with the early 1950s, "Out/Reach" spans more than 60 years of lesbian history. Each work represents a unique effort by queer women to represent themselves within both their communities and the public sphere. The reception is free and open to the public at The Gallery at Ace Hotel New York.

Sunday June 7: Tea Party Liberty Hall

Next, our friends at dapperQ, along with Posture Magazine, bklynboihood, and DYDH Productions have formed a partnership called The Verge -- and they're planning a huge event for the forthcoming New York Fashion Week Fall 2015. Their NYFW event will showcase eight promising up-and-coming designers whose work is rooted in notions of gender nonconformity and its intersections with race, ethnicity, and culture. On Sunday, June 7 they'll be hosting a not-so-classic Tea Party Liberty Hall, for a mix of mingling, networking and, most importantly -- casting. The Tea Party will double as a casting call for those interested in modeling for their chosen designers.

Monday June 22: Premier Screening & Party: "Out in the Night"

Finally, we'll be hosting an NYC premiere party for "Out in the Night," an award-winning documentary featuring one of our very own BeyondMeasure winners, Renata Hill, on Monday, June 22 at 7 p.m.

This gripping film by blair dorosh-walther follows the lives of four African-American lesbians from Newark, N.J., as they face the charges and convictions for defending themselves in an anti-LGBT attack. It's an empowering story about safety, the queer scene and self-defense. A panel discussion with director blair dorosh-walther, Renata Hill, Patreese Johnson, Terrain Dandridge and Venice Brown will follow the screening. "Out in the Night" has its national television premiere on PBS's acclaimed POV documentary series later that evening at 10 p.m. (check local listings). The film will stream on www.pbs.org/pov/outinthenight from June 23 to July 23.

Following the panel discussion will be a reception hosted by The New York chapter of Black Lives Matter. A cash bar by The Breslin Bar & Dining Room will run throughout the course of the evening.
