Pride Month Kick Off with Lucy Stoole and Imp Queen
Celebrate the first weekend of Pride month at the momentous Big Gay Brunch, returning to Boiler Room Sunday, June 5 from 1 - 4 p.m.
In its second inaugural year, Chicago's ultimate Pride brunch celebration returns with attitude. DJs Robojojo and Butch Sassidy the Come Dance Kid will pilot the 1's and 2's, flying guests through clouds of joyous celebration and debauchery. Hosts Lucy Stoole and Imp Queen lend their opulent brand of party personality as the event's vivacious hosts. Drink specials include $4 Effen Black Cherry Cocktails and $4 dollar Sauza Cocktails. Guests are encouraged to RSVP at Do312 to receive a complimentary PBR and shot of Sauza Hornitos. Entrance is free.
As always guests receive a free Jameson shot with a receipt from the Boiler Room ATM.
Boiler Room (2210 N. California Ave.) is a full service restaurant and bar located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, adjacent to the California el stop. Boiler Room is widely popular for their pizza, PBR, and Jameson special; eclectic drink+food combinations, and housemade specialties. A distinct menu, diverse range of craft and national beer, and a healthy list of enticing cocktails has helped Boiler Room establish itself as a Chicago staple. Boiler Room is open Monday - Friday from 4 p.m. - 2 a.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. - 3 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Boiler Room opened in 2010. Environmentally conscious, Boiler Room features a state of the art solar panelling system, complete with a monitored real-time screen that shares energy conservation statistics with patrons. The interior consists of salvaged materials repurposed from photo studios, fire hoses, school desks, Swiss Air cargo straps, the Chicago Transit system, an industrial catwalk and more. Boiler Room is owned and operated by partners Desiree Grant and Russ Grant, who also own Simone's in Pilsen. Russ Grant also owns Logan Square establishments Parts and Labor and East Room.
