Watch: Rugby Player Pops the Question to Boyfriend at London Pride

Monday July 10, 2017

London Pride seems the go-to destination to ask your partner to marry you!

Rugby player Fernando Ferreira did just that over the weekend, getting down on one knee and asking his boyfriend Greg Woodford to marry him, the Metro reports.

The athlete was taking part in London Pride's march with Kings Cross Steelers RFC, the first gay inclusive rugby club. As he marched with his teammates, Ferreira broke away from the crew and walked up to Woodford, who was watching the march from the sidelines, asking to marry him.

"I bawled my eyes out watching this Greg! Congratulations I'm so so happy for you," friend of the couple Jessica Rancie said, according to the Metro.

The video was posted to the Kings Cross Steelers' Facebook page and has earned nearly 2,000 likes and over 650 shares.

Ferreira wasn't the only person to pop the question at London Pride. It was also reported that a woman asked her girlfriend, a cop working the event, to marry her.
