With 35,000 persons in attendance, great vendors, great stage performances and uplifting music on the dance floor, the Festival and Expo was both an opportunity to reach and market gay business and services to the LGBT community and a chance to celebrate the festive Miami Pride day! Superhero Soiree :: April 15, 2011
Superhero Soiree was a VIP evening celebrating the kickoff of Miami Beach Gay Pride 2011, bringing together celebrities such as menswear designer Chistopher Bates, amazing music with special guest DJ Scotty Thomson, and a special appearance by DJ Tracy Young. Also appearing was a constellation of stars, including MBGP 2011 Grand Marshal and Bravo Emmy Award winner, Andy Cohen, cast members from Bravo’s reality show, "The Real Housewives of Miami," Michael Holtz (Mr. Gay World Runner-Up, Mr. Gay USA 2010. Miami Pride Parade :: April 16, 2011
Miami celebrated Pride for the third year in a row this past Saturday with a big Parade on Ocean Drive in South Beach! The colorful event brought over a thousand people to this well-known and happening street and featured amazing floats, costumes and lots of joy from people who choose to embrace diversity and love with Pride! Pridefest South Florida 2011 started with Fort Lauderdale’s famous Pride Fest at Jaco Pastorius Park, Dixie Highway and NE 40th Ct in Oakland Park.
