R&B star Frank Ocean, born Christopher Edwin Breaux, finally legally changed his name to Frank Ocean after being blocked from doing so last year because of the outstanding number of speeding tickets he racked up in Los Angeles.

Ocean, 27, first filed to legally change his name in March 2014 but a judge put that on hold in November and said the "Thinkin' Bout You" singer needed to clear up his driving license issues, TMZ reports.

This may just be the start of good things to come for Ocean after he hinted that his follow-up to his critically acclaimed record "Channel Orange" will drop this summer.

Ocean took to his website last month, posting a photo with the caption "I've got two versions" and the hashtags #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY. In the image, Ocean is sitting next to two stacks of magazines, one with the title "Boys Don't Cry," which is rumored to be the title to his highly anticipated forthcoming record.

A rep for the R&B crooner confirmed to Billboard that Ocean will release a new LP, along with a publication. No titles were confirmed, however.
