PopUps: Jonathan Groff Had 'Most Intense Sex Scene' in 'Looking' Finale

The guys of "Looking," the HBO dramedy that was canceled earlier this year, are getting back together to film the series finale/TV movie and star Jonathan Groff promises it will have "lots of sex."

He also confessed that he filmed the "most intense sex scene I've ever done," when speaking to media, according to BroadwayWorld.com. Groff is currently taking a break from his role in the Broadway hit musical "Hamilton" to film the final chapter for "Looking."

"Looking" centered on three gay friends, Patrick (Groff), Augstin (Frankie J. Alvarez) and Dom (Murray Barlett), who try to navigate their lives in San Francisco. After two seasons HBO announced it was pulling the plug but would create a one-time special for a series finale.

"There's lots of sex," Groff said during his live on-stage interview in San Fran where "Looking" is currently being shot. "I don't want to say who it was with, but I just shot the most intense sex scene I've ever done," he later added, not revealing if his hookup is with his boss/lover Kevin (Russell Tovey) or love interest Richie (Raul Castillo).

"One of the cool things about 'Looking' is that after the first season, a lot of people - shockingly, liberal, open artists in New York and L.A. - said they didn't know that gay people could have sex while facing each other," he continued, according to BroadwayWorld.com. "The show illuminated intimacy in sex [between men] without being porny or salacious. Those scenes felt very real and true to life. I was excited to do them."

Groff continued: "There's something special about 'Looking.' Not a day has gone by that I haven't wept. It's been very emotional [but] great that we get to say goodbye to San Francisco and our characters."
