PopUps: Rest Assured, One Direction Did Not Break Up

Thursday January 14, 2016

Despite reports hitting the Internet Wednesday, alleging the U.K. boyband One Direction have officially called it quits, a source told Billboard that 1D is still together.

"Nothing has changed regarding hiatus plans for the group, and all will be revealed in due time from the band members' own mouths," the source close to the band said.

One Direction is on hiatus, however, which went into effect after releasing their fifth album, "Made in the A.M." The announcement came in late 2015 and 1D is expected to be on break for the next 18 months.

The boys are currently doing their own things, Billboard reports, with Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne recoding a guest spot for "Family Guy" while Niall Horan is enjoying the simple life.

Zayn Malik, who left the group last year, is currently recording solo material.
