PopUps: No, SJP Is Not Above Being a 'Trash Picker'
Sarah Jessica Parker is a "trash picker," according to The New York Post's Page Six.
The tabloid's recent article writes the "Sex and the City" star "spotted a vintage cast-iron-and-enamel sink" that was set to be thrown away last Friday. It was placed on the curb, along with some trash bags, in New York City's West Village.
But SJP was so taken by the sink that the actress and a friend reportedly picked it up, hailed a cab and brought it back to her home.
The glamorous movie star later took to Instagram to share her findings with her 2.3 million followers.
"And then around 8:33p post forty carrots on my walk home I found this beauty," she wrote. "Discarded like so much trash. Waiting to be carted away on bulk Saturday. Or maybe waiting for someone just like me to rescue her.
"I named her Bedford and with the help of a friend and the good fortune to flag a taxi, she is now home with us. Right where she belongs," SJP added. "Just waiting for a good scrub and some new hardware. Isn't that a wonderful bedtime story? X, SJ"
