PopUps: Miley Cyrus Fills In as Host While Ellen is Sick
No, it's not "The Miley Cyrus Show." At least, not for long!
Viewers of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" will see the daytime talkshow get a new host - while Ellen was out sick Wednesday and unable to host, pop star Miley Cyrus filled in at the last minute.
Ellen broke the news by taking to Twitter.
Entertainment Weekly writes "it's rare that the host takes a sick day... though it did happen back in January 2015 when 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's Ellie Kemper covered for DeGeneres, who had the flu."
In a preview clip of the episode, Cyrus, who is currently a judge on "The Voice" and will star in Woody Allen's upcoming Amazon series "Crisis in Six Scenes," jokes about filling in for Ellen.
"I know all of you came to see Ellen, so I'm gonna do my best to make you very happy. I'm dressed like her, I smell like her, just before I came out here I actually kissed a girl so, uh, thank you," Cyrus said. "Thank you for staying. I'll admit I'm a little bit nervous because I've never hosted a show with my clothes on before so this is so weird."
