Friday April 7, 2017

Ryan Murphy is really going for it.

The latest casting news for the third installment of "American Crime Story," which will be about the 1997 murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace, comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which reports singer Ricky Martin will play the Versace's longtime partner.

The "Livin' la Vida Loca" hit-maker will portray Antonio D'Amico, who had a "shaky" relationship with the Versace family, THR writes. This is the second time Martin has been in the Murphyverse - the singer played a Spanish teacher in "Glee" Season 3.

Martin will star in "ACS" alongside Edgar Ramirez, who will play the fashion designer, and Darren Criss, who is taking on serial killer Andrew Cunanan. Penelope Cruz was also cast as Donatella Versace, Gianni's sister.

The Versace "ACS" season will come in 2018, after the FX anthology series' second season, which will be about Hurricane Katrina and stars Annette Benning and Matthew Broderick.
