Celebrated comic Betty White is about to turn 100, and she's got tips for longevity... plus a movie that looks back over her life and career!

In exclusive comments to People magazine, White declared herself "so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age." When it comes to the secret of her longevity, White had a couple of tips, starting with having been "born a cockeyed optimist."

"I got it from my mom, and that never changed," White told the outlet. "I always find the positive."

Diet is important, too, the near-centenarian noted. "I try to avoid anything green. I think it's working."

Summarizing White's long career, People recalled, "She had unforgettable roles on 'The Golden Girls' and 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show.' Later in her career, she had iconic parts on 'Hot in Cleveland' and in the 2009 film 'The Proposal,' " in which she co-starred with Ryan Reynolds.

Looking forward to the big day, which is on Jan. 17, 2022, Entertainment Tonight reported on an upcoming film event, "Betty White: 100 Years Young — A Birthday Celebration," that will constitute a kind of national birthday party for the comedy legend.

"The film will take a look at her long and successful career with new interviews with White herself, behind-the-scenes clips of her work," including "funniest moments on 'The Golden Girls,' " ET summarized, adding that in amongst the slips from her many film and TV appearances there will be "a lost episode from White's very first sitcom."

That would most likely be "Life with Elizabeth," a show that, according to IMDb, ran from 1952-55. White played the title character.

The cinematic tribute will feature a roster of stars, from Clint Eastwood to Lin-Manuel Miranda, plus White's "The Proposal" co-star Ryan Reynolds, ET noted, before detailing that the film "will play in almost 900 movie theaters nationwide on Monday, Jan. 17 at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (all times local).

"Tickets can be purchased online at www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices."
