British weatherman Alex Beresford watched his Instagram followers double since Tuesday. The reason? His pointed confrontation with Piers Morgan on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" on which Beresford is the weatherman.

Morgan had completed a tirade against the Sussexes on Monday where he dismissed issues of mental health and suicide ideation when Beresford spoke up, citing the host's previous relationship with Markle.

Morgan, the host of ITV's Good Morning Britain, was called out by the show's weatherman Alex Beresford for his one-man tirade against the Sussexes on Monday, particularly against Markle, and how blithely the "America's Got Talent" judge dismissed issues of mental health and suicide ideation. "I understand you don't like Meghan Markle, you've made it so clear a number of times on this program, a number of times," Beresford said.

Beresford then brought up Morgan's previous relationship with Markle, suggesting that he was somewhat obsessed, which led to him dramatically leaving the set, reported The Hollywood Reporter. "I understand you don't like Meghan Markle, you've made it so clear a number of times on this program, a number of times," Beresford said.

He continued: "And I understand you've got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or you had one and she cut you off. She's entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don't think she has and yet you continue to trash her."

Morgan stormed off the set saying, "I'm done with this. See you later" and "sorry, I can't do this." Speaking to his colleagues, Beresford adds: "Absolutely diabolical behavior. I'm sorry but Piers spouts off on a regular basis and we all have to sit there and listen... It's incredibly hard to watch."

Morgan's feud with Markle stemmed from having met up with her for a "pub date" in 2015 where he said they "got along brilliantly." He later said he ghosted her after she met Harry.

For Beresford, the reason for his objection was personal. "Why the Meghan interview really resonates with me is because an ex-work colleague — not off this show — asked me if I was worried the shade of cocoa my son was going to come out. So I fully understand the hurt that is behind all of that."

While this incident marks the first time many have encountered Beresford, Men's Health wrote this week that "Beresford's been on our radar for a while, you see, because underneath the suits he wears as a mild-mannered weather presenter lies an impressive physique."

"Strong in body, strong in mind," wrote Beresford about his fitness habit on his IG account thegymforecast. "You can flip that the other way round too, but for me personally; I feel much better in my mind when I feel better in my body - see how the two merge? Ultimately I need both."

But, Men's Health points out, "Beresford's IG channel isn't all thirst traps, the page is full of training advice, workouts, as well as regular posts about how strength training has kept Beresford focused and grounded during the past year. He even used a period of 10-day isolation as an opportunity to get fitter and stronger."
