In August, a screen shot from the 2008 World War II film "Valkyrie" went viral, in which star Tom Cruise appears to have a very large bubble butt.

After earning over 66,000 likes and more than 17,000 re-tweets, "Valkyrie" director Christopher McQuarrie reportedly responded to the booty-in-question but didn't offer any closure, refusing to confirm or deny if Cruise's butt is actually that big or if it was somehow enhanced.

Now that Cruise is promoting his new film "American Made," the good folks at Screen Rant did the lord's work and asked the 55-year-old star about his behind. In a post titled "Tom Cruise Denies 'Fake Butt' Rumors," writer Alex Leadbeater got an answer out of Cruise.

"I have no idea. There was no prosthetic in 'Valkyrie.' No," he said.

There you have it!

Apparently, Cruise does a lot of mooning in "American Made," and the actor confesses that's the real him, too.

"It's not CGI, it's me," he told Screen Rant. "I do my own mooning in films. So let it be known - I do my own mooning."
