Chappell Roan's monumental rise to the top of the charts and everyone's playlists has been documented and declared many times over this year. However, despite winning the hearts of many and a VMA last week, Roan says she is iffy about winning a Grammy.

In an interview with The Face, Roan said she is "kind of hoping" she doesn't win music's highest honor.

"Because then everyone will get off my ass: 'See guys, we did it and we didn't win, bye!' I won't have to do this again!" she said. Yet she said her "mom would love to go to the Grammys or the Brits."

Since the release of her "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" Roan has been on a rise steady rise, locking in one of the biggest crowd turnouts for Lollapalooza ever. However, Roan said awards and recognition aren't her priority.

"I feel ambitious about making this sustainable," she said. "That's my biggest goal right now. My brain is like: quit right now, take next year off. This industry and artistry fucking thrive on mental illness, burnout, overworking yourself, overextending yourself, not sleeping. You get bigger the more unhealthy you are. Isn't that so fucked up?"

About ambition, she added, "How do I not hate myself, my job, my life, and do this? Because right now, it's not working. I'm just scrambling to try to feel healthy."

The "Hot To Go!" singer has publicly made efforts to set some boundaries with fans recently. She has pleaded for people to "stop touching me" at will and to "stop being weird to my family and friends." Also, "stop assuming things about me," she asked in social media posts.

She has been very vocal about the negative sides of superstardom, but she is still going.
